The Future of Europe: Security and Privacy in Cyberspace


CALL FOR PAPERS

In highly-digitalized world, societies and governments face a challenge of protecting human freedoms and rights. On the one hand, faced with swiftly developing technologies and social media; while on the other, tackling a threat of erosion of security and invasion of privacy not only by terrorists and criminals but also by state actors. Are European societies cyber resilient? This issue will aim to shed light on the new battleground for human freedom and human rights: the cyberspace.

PAPER SPECIFICATIONS:

Type: Analytical and example-based. Region- or country-focused.

Formatting standard used: Chicago Manual of Style 16th edition, Author-Date system for Social Sciences (details: http://library.williams.edu/citing/styles/chicago2.php). References cited in the text need to be present in the reference list (and vice versa). Citations in the text should list exact page citations.

Figures/Tables: In a separate Excel file.

Length: 15.000 – 20.000 characters without spaces.

Structure: Abstract (max 1.000 characters without spaces), Introduction (max 1.000 characters without spaces), Analysis (max 16.000 characters without spaces) and Implications and Lessons for the Future (max 2.000 characters without spaces)

Language: English. Submissions will be accepted only if already English-language edited.
