Dr Aleš Pustovrh is an entrepreneur and researcher of innovative ideas. He is a co-founder of ABC start-up accelerator in Ljubljana, Slovenia and has established several other small companies in this industry. He is also an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana where he earned his PhD in 2014. Previously he was working at the University of Trieste, focusing on the emerging start-up and innovation ecosystem in the Adriatic region. He was also one of the founders of COINVEST project & investment conference and has worked for several foreign companies involved in market research and economic analysis.
Dr Dan Mitchell is a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute in Washington, DC. He is one of the nation’s experts on fiscal policy, particularly tax reform, the economic burden of government spending, and tax competition. He’s been published in dozens of outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Journal of Regulation and Social Cost, Emory Law Journal, Forbes, USA Today, Offshore Investment, and Playboy and has appeared on all the major networks, including CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC and C-SPAN. Dan earned a Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University and undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the University of Georgia.

Dr Josef Šíma has served as the president of CEVRO Institute since 2009. Šíma has served for years as an editorial director of Liberální Institut, Prague, translated over 10 books (including Ludwig von Mises’s Human Action, The Ethics of Liberty, and Milton Friedman’s The Money Mischief). He is a founder and editor-in-chief of the interdisciplinary scholarly journal New Perspectives on Political Economy and the president of a major interdisciplinary gathering of Austrian and free-market scholars in Central Europe, Prague Conference on Political Economy. Šíma has published dozens of articles and a number of books, including Market in Time and Space (2000) and Introduction to the Logic of Social Action – Law and Economics Primer (2004).
Pieter Cleppe is the Head of the Brussels office of Open Europe, an independent think tank, with offices in London and Brussels and a sister organization in Berlin. Open Europe is committed to European co-operation, but believes that the EU should be made more democratic, transparent and accountable to citizens, while it should return powers to member states and more encourage free trade, internally and globally. A trained lawyer, he has been practicing law in Belgium and has worked as a cabinet advisor and speechwriter to the Belgian State Secretary for Administrative Reform and as an analyst at the Belgian Itinera Institute, which he helped establish. Pieter received his legal training at the Catholic University of Leuven, and also studied law and economics at the universities of Hamburg, Bologna and Vienna.
Dr Richard Zundritsch holds a Masters and PhD in Law from the University of Vienna. He is an Independent Financial Advisor based in Switzerland and specializes in Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Succession Planning and Venture Capital. Before founding his company, he worked in International Corporate Finance for a number of global banks. Dr. Zundritsch is also a long-standing board member of the Austrian Economics Center and the Hayek Institut.
Dr Robert Murphy is a Research Assistant Professor at the Free Market Institute at Texas Tech University. Murphy earned his B.A. in economics from Hillsdale College and his Ph.D. in economics from New York University. He is currently a Senior Economist at the Institute for Energy Research, Senior Fellow with the Fraser Institute, Associated Scholar with the Ludwig von Mises Institute, and a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute. Murphy has authored numerous scholarly articles and energy policy studies, over 100 popular publications for lay audiences, and multiple books. His most recent book is Choice: Cooperation, Enterprise, and Human Action (Independent Institute, 2015). His current research focuses on the economics of climate change as well as the impact of minimum wages.
